Do I need to use the online editor?

Yes, the submission of articles is only possible through the online editor. We encourage you to use it during the writing process as well. This way, we ensure that every author becomes properly acquainted with the editor. Thus, you may also make arrangements directly with co-authors and avoid writing conflicts.

Which license are the articles subject to?

The authors give their consent as licensors to the publication of their contributions under a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license. Once the contribution is published, the consent can no longer be revoked. You can read more about it here.

How can I write a new entry?

Once you have registered as author and logged in, an index with the most relevant locations compiled by the NGGJ will display. Beside each entry, there is a colored button. This indicates under which conditions a certain article can be edited.

Who may contribute to our platform?

In principle, anyone interested (university members and laymen alike) can contribute. However, certain articles, which require a greater expertise, can only be processed on request. If you are interested in working on a reserved article, you can contact the editor directly through the index of locations.

Why is the registration mandatory?

Through the registration the author rights of our contributors can be identified. It also prevents possible abuse.

How will the contents be used?

All of the contents in the NGGJ are published under a CC BY-NC-SA license and can be updated within the NGGJ. Outside the platform, citing and reusing are allowed under certain conditions.
